Can anyone recommend a free dvd ripper that takes the videos from dvd and saves them as good quality avi files? And for anyone whose going to preach about copyright, these are my dvds that I have bought. I figure I should be allowed to watch them although my capability to keep a disk in good condition is limited. Thanks!

Good old dvd-shrink has done it’s best service but these days it’s reading less and less discs. It hasn’t been upgraded or serviced for quite a few years now. What’s a good ripper to replace it?
